It's Pizza This Time

Few days ago I posted how badly I craved for a cheeseburger. Last night, this crazy craving attacked again and it is pizza this time. At past 10 pm yesterday I sent an sms to my husband saying "can we eat pizza today? yes or no?". My husband replied that its late already to get a pizza. The pizza store where we buy pizza already closed. I was disappointed again. I ended up browsing in google and search for greenwich pizza and there I was staring at the pizza photos in greenwich site(lol). I couldn't thank enough my husband when each time I ask him a favor he always try his best to do it but some things are really out of our hands. When I get upset and I don't talk to him, hubby would always say "Honey, please don't be mad. Stop being maldita now and let's make up". When I hear those words I can't help to smile. He knows now what maldita means and that his wife is maldita. It's not good but I find it cute when he says I'm maldita (lol).
Today, he dragged me to the shop even if I was still so sleepy. We ate together in the Quick Bistro in Bilka. Quick Bistro is not really quick (lol). Everytime we go and eat there we always have to wait atleast 20 minutes to get our order even if its just 1 piece of burger. And then we went to the shop to buy a frozen pizza so I can heat and eat it at home later.

Yes, I Did It!

A few days ago, I was saying that I'll be hosting a gathering today. Divine and Rechelle will come here in our place to visit me. I had a very short slept this morning. I was busy cleaning our little home yesterday and at midnight I started baking the cake for our dessert today. I finished past 3 am and I knew that I have to wake up early the next day to prepare the food. I went to bed 4:30 am already and woke up 8 am. I started making the empanada which took me too long to finnish. While I'm in the middle of making it I had a dysmenorrhea and I started feeling dizzy. After a while I had to stop from what I'm doing coz I couldn't bear to stand anymore longer. I phoned Divine and Rechelle to come here 4 pm instead of 3 pm. After 1 hour of rest I felt better and went back to kitchen. I got so busy that before I knew it, it was 4 pm already and there are still 2 dishes that are not cook and I don't even have a cook rice yet. I felt so bad and I really wanted to cry. I felt so helpless and frustrated, despite the fact that I started early I wasn't able to finnish on time. I run to our bedroom and fixed myself very quickly. So that when they arrive atleast I look a bit descent. I was washing the dishes, tried cleaning the kitchen a bit and at the same time cooking when my phone rang. Rechelle was downstairs already and I really panicked. I was really worried that the food were not yet done and my visitors are starting to arrive. After I picked her we talked a bit while I was cooking and then the bell rang. I knew it was Divine, talking with Rechelle while cooking helped me to calm down. I just let the 2 ladies talked while I continue with my unfinished job in the kitchen. After a few minutes the table was ready and we started eating. I'm glad that the food was ok except for the chicken curry that is a bit salty. We watched lost together for an hour or two then the ladies were picked up by their husbands.
I'm happy with the experience today. It's my first time to be a host and it really feels good. Its my first time also to cook for other people other than my husband. I'm no cook or master in cooking but I am very happy I did fine. I was able to pull it off despite the fact that I did not feel well. I hope my visitors were happy with the food though. :-D
Me, Divine and Rechelle

Davao City's Peoples Park

When I found out that my inlaws are visiting Philippines to attend our wedding I was surprised and very excited. I was happy of the thought that they will be visiting my country and I couldn't wait to see them there.

A few days after my inlaws arrival, we finally had the time to bond together. Because of the very short time we had I wasn't able to tour them in Davao tourists spots. Most of the time we went to different malls and I really look like a tourist guide with six blonde people around me. Both of my parent's in law, sister in law and her two kids were there.
The day before the wedding, we decided to go to Davao's famous park, the People's Park. We had a wonderful time touring there. My sister inlaws kids were confused and shy because a lot of people were looking at them but I saw smiles in their face while touring the park especially playing in the children's playground. Our tour was very nice and everyone is game for picture taking with the park's statues.

People's Park is the nicest park in Davao, it is formerly known as PTA Ground. The park was opened last December 2007. The four hectare park was divided into several area like the plaza, fun or kids playground and durian dome. It has wonderful landscapes and man made water falls. The park is surrounded with different kinds of flowers and trees and it has park has a lot of unique looking statues made by Davao's very own artist, painter and sculptor Kublai Millan.

Looking for Bedroom Furniture?

Most of us if not all, are into furniture. Choosing the right furniture that would fit and compliment the design of our house is one of the most exciting things to do in decorating our home and making it stylish.
Our bedroom is our little heaven in our homes. We like it nice and comfortable. There, we don't only rest and sleep, often our dreams and future plans are created there.
Choosing the right furniture would be very helpful to get the ambiance we want. It is nice to wake up in the morning and smile when we open our eyes because we love the things we see. Shopping for bedroom furniture can be quite tricky though, especially with our busy life and hectic schedule. We don't have time to visit furniture shop anymore. Browsing the internet and look for bedroom furniture online is the most comfortable things to do. It would save us energy and time.
Why not visit Go Modern Furniture's website? Go modern bedroom furniture includes beds, storage beds, bedside cabinet's, chest of drawer's and wardrobes and a lot more in mostly contemporary styles. They have everything you need for a bedroom furniture. Your bedroom furniture shopping will not be difficult anymore because you can do it at home or in your office in just a few clicks with your mouse. They sell kitchen and living room furniture too so you better check it out.

A Dream Come True

I've seen a theme park just last year when hubby (bf that time) brought me to Finland to introduce me to his family. I was so happy that day, finally after long years of waiting and dreaming and wishing I finally tried to ride the roller coaster which I heard and seen only in TV.
Linnanmaki is the biggest theme park in Helsinki. Hubby and I were very excited to visit it since we arrived in Finland. I can still recall the excitement and joy the first day we attempt to went there. While we were riding the tram going to the park I feel like I was a kid again.
We live in the southern part of Philippines. There, I've seen only Ferriswheel on special occassions like Fiesta but I didn't try it. There is a huge theme park in Luzon but it's very far from our place. We would need to ride a ship or an airplane to get there and my family cannot afford it.
When we arrived there hubby and me were confused why there's no people around. We tried to walk going inside to the park and we found out that the park was closed that day. It was kind of disappointing but not until my husband read in one of the paper in the park that it will be open the next day.
So we went back the next day at noon and had finally seen those rides that I never thought I would try to ride. My excitement was very high that I dragged my husband to the ticket booth right away. After that, I told him that I want to try that first roller coaster ride that I've seen. I saw the hesitation in his eyes while I'm dragging him to come with me. There's no much people yet that time so were lucky that we didn't had to wait. The excited me didn't think of anything at that moment but just try that roller coaster ride right away. Fear was the last thing in my mind.
When the roller coaster started to go up it was only then I realized what I got myself into. That moment the excitement was gone and the fear was there. And in just a second I heard myself shouting as loud as I can. I was upside down and going too fast that I'm not sure if my soul was still with me or it was left somewhere in the sky (lol). I was thankful and relieved that the ride lasted less than a minute. It was a quick one but very scary for me. I was dizzy when we were walking looking for the next possible ride. I kept on telling my husband "I made the wrong decision, Bebe. We shouldn't have ride that one".
Hubby and me decided to try one of the kiddie playhouse or something in there. And after that we decided to ride everything there since we have the ride all you can ticket except for the those two rides that we know we can't take.
I am very thankful that I've been given the chance to fulfill one of my childhood dreams, to ride a roller coaster. I was excited, thrilled, happy, amazed, afraid, scared that day. It was a fun experience. Yes, I regretted that first ride why we went there but all in all the joy that I have inside was unexplainable. It's one of those thing's that I've been waiting for my whole life to happen and I'm glad I finally experience it. That dream come true filled the tiny space somewhere in my heart. That space was there for so long and I'm glad its gone now.

It's My Turn: To Be The Host

Due to my hectic schedule this past few days I wasn't able to make a post. I've been thinking to make one every single day that has passed but to no success because of my hectic schedule.
A few days ago Divine of My Thoughts and me agreed to meet last Wednesday. I asked her if she can come here in our place and bring Rechelle (another friend) with her. Rechelle is not available on weekdays coz of her studies and job so we reschedule the meeting this coming Saturday.
I'm no expert in cooking so it took me 3 days to decide if what dish shall I prepare. I've been to Divine's place last June just before we left for Finland and now, its our turn to be the host. I get nervous when I think about it. I'm worried of my cooking (lol). I've never cook for anyone aside from my hubby. Back in Philippines, my mother and sister always manage the kitchen. I've never tried cooking there not because I don't want to learn but I'm afraid it will be a failure. So I always leave the cooking to the masters. Just for the record, there was a point in my life when I dreamt of becoming a chef (grin) but I guess I'm just to afraid to try it. I was even too scared to practice in our own kitchen so what more in the school. But I've been always a fan of cooking shows and my favorite TV show is Hell's Kitchen.
I've come up with three dishes and two desserts and I hope I'll do it well. We wen't to the Asian Shop today and started getting the ingredients that will be needed for Saturday. I'll update you guys later and hopefully I'll be posting pics.

I Want Cheeseburger!

When I woke up yesterday, the first sentence that I said was "Bebe, please buy me a cheeseburger tonight". I was craving for a burger for 3 days and I couldn't wait to eat one. I was thinking of it the entire day and finally after 8 hours of waiting, around 11 in the evening hubby arrived. I immediately asked him if he bought a cheeseburger. I was so disappointed when he said no. He was torn if he should get it or not coz he's train will arrive in 7 minutes and there was a long line in Mcdonalds that it would take a while before he can get the burger. So he decided not to buy it and ride the first train that arrived.

I didn't talk to him for hours. I was hungry and very upset about it. I didn't made dinner because I thought we'll be eating burger last night. So when I woke up this morning hubby and I agreed that I'll go with him to the city center to go to the asian shop to buy something from there and buy my cheeseburger as well. He treat me to the new restaurant in the train station and then we went to the asian store. After that, I told hubby that I'll be going home but then he reminded me of the cheeseburger. I was so full that I was not thinking about it anymore but then he insist to get my burger. He asked me if how many Cheeseburger do I want and I said 3. He answered back saying " Are you sure?" and I said "Yes!". After that he didn't said anything and we headed to Mcdonalds and order my 3 cheeseburgers. He was guilty last night coz he didn't bought the cheeseburger and so even if he knew that there is no way I can eat all the 3 cheeseburgers he still bought it to make it up for what happened last night.

I went home with 3 cheeseburgers in my bag and a huge smile in my face.

Rafael Nadal In US Open 2009

A few weeks ago, I was very excited for the US Open to start. It's been a while since I watched tennis in TV and I didn't heard any news about my favorite player Rafael Nadal in our almost three months stay in Finland. Before we left Denmark, all I know is that Nadal was the world's number one player in tennis.
It's difficult with the time difference coz they air US Open at night till dawn here, I wasn't able to follow it. A few days ago as I was watching Roger Federer playing, I was very surprised to see his rank in the screen. I couldn't believe it that he is back at the number one position. I, then jumped into my computer to check Nadal's rank and I was a bit disappointed to see that he's number three. Because of the time difference I wasn't able to follow Nadal's game and I would just check his website everyday for the latest news.
This afternoon, I read an article about Nadal in Yahoo News. After Nadal beat Gael Monfils of France, a male fan escaped security and kissed Nadal on his cheeks. It's an uncomfortable and awkward situation but Nadal said in his interview that "It wasn't a problem. The guy was really nice. He was a great fan. He said I love you".
I like him more for this. I am a fan too though I'm not as wild as the guy who kissed him but I kind of understand what the fan did.
Just a few minutes ago, I checked his website and I was so happy to found out that his now back to No. 2 in ranking and through to Quarterfinals.
Go Rafa!

My Favorite Fruit Rambutan

Back in Philippines, my sister has a tree of Rambutan in their backyard. Every year, we would always look forward for the Rambutan tree to bear fruit. When the Rambutan season is coming, we would check the tree everyday if it starts to produce flowers and then we would excitedly wait for the flowers to become little fruits. And when it's ready for harvest I would always volunteer to climb the tree.

When I was young I didn't like Rambutan, not until I was in high school. When it's Rambutan season, I could see a lot of vendors selling it in the streets of Davao City in a cheap price. Each time I buy it, the more I like it and crave for more.

Rambutan is an exotic fruit that is common to southeast asian countries such as Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia. A ripe Rambutan has a reddish or yellowish hairy skin. You can either cut, bite or sqeeze with your both hands to open it. It is a bit juicy inside so I don't really like squeezing it. It has a delicious sweet taste that you would always want for more when you taste it.

I miss Rambutan, its been a while since the last time I ate it. Since they don't have it here in Denmark I'll just put it in my "must eat" fruit when we will have a vacation in the Philippines.

What is plastic surgery?

The word plastic came from the Greek word plastikos that means to mold or to shape and surgery is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of injury, deformity, and disease by manual and instrumental means.

Before, people who undergone plastic surgery prefers to keep it a secret coz a lot of people doesn't understand what it really means. Nowadays, a lot of people have tried plastic surgery to make their self younger and more beautiful just like hollywood stars.

It doesn't mean that a person who's undergone a plastic surgery means that person has a lot of plastic in his/her body. There are two fields in plastic surgery, the Reconstructive and the Cosmetic or Aesthetic.

Reconstructive procedures correct defects on the face or body. Ear deformities, dog bites, burns, cleft lips are just some of the examples that reconstructive surgery corrects.

Cosmetic or Aesthetic surgery is concerned in improving one's appearance. It alters the part of the face or the body that one is not satisfied. Examples are removing of fats, reshaping of nose, breast enlargement or reduction and a lot more....

One of the advantage of plastic surgery is the ability to correct physical defects. Often it gives the patient self esteem and feel better about their self. After all, all of us deserves to look best.

If you're considering to under go to this procedures try to research more about it and make sure that you're doing it for the rights reasons. Choose your surgeon wisely and try to ask people who you know that has done it before for recommendations.

Mimi And Me

It all started 5 years ago, it's the first day of the opening of the school year in first semester sometime in 2004, I woke up early to prepare myself to school. Took a bath, ate breakfast and proudly wore my new uniform. I was very excited and nervous at the same time to go to school. It's my first day in college after all. I arrived early at school and I was able to choose a seat of my choice. I put my bag beside my seat, I reserved it for my new friend whom I met during the enrollment. We both promise to each other who ever comes first during the first day of the class will reserved a seat for one of us. Thirty minutes later, the rest of the seats were almost all taken and there were two ladies already asked me if the seat beside me is already taken and I told them its reserved for a friend of mine. After a while, there's this lady came in to the door in shirt and jeans and I saw her coming in to my direction. I was wondering, why this girl did not wear her uniform didn't she read the instruction in our school manual that it is required to wear the uniform the first day of the school. She asked my nicely if the seat beside me is taken, I was suppose to answer her yes but I was surprised of how I reacted, I took my bag and put it in my chair and said no its not, you can sit there if you want. I was thinking well, my new friend whom I reserved the chair for can seat beside of that girl who just took her seat since it is still available.

That girl who took the seat introduced herself to me. Her name is Gerremay but she prefers to be called by her nickname Mimi. She was one of the most silent in the class while I'm one of the most talkative (hehe) but even if its like that it didn't hinder to our friendship. Well, she's as talkative as I am when its just us. We shared a lot of things from paper to assignments, answers and secrets and crushes. She brought me a couple of times in their place, introduced me to her family and relatives. We were inseparable, wherever she go I go, if there's a group activity we were always partners. After a year, I have to stopped attending school, we ran out of resources. I lived with my sister that time but it was more like I live alone. I was so devastated and disappointed of what happened to me. It was very painful in my part coz I really wanted to go to school. When the enrollment came, she did not enroll right away and waited for me so we can enroll together and be classmates again but then it didn't happen. It was a challenge for her to be a stranger in her new class and it took a bit of time for her to adjust. She didn't know anyone coz most of our classmates in the first year enrolled earlier than she did. Despite her very busy schedule she finds time to visit me twice a month and bring me a "pasalubong". Then we would have long hours of talk. She updates me the latest news from school, open up her problems and tell me her worries. Then we would both listen to our favorite song before she leave. There were times that she's forcing me to go to their place to have a sleep over and then in the morning when I have to go home she would give me anything that she can afford. From from soap, shampoo, conditioner to the fruits and vegetable in their backyard. She even bought a bag of my favorite candy for me to take home. She tried in her own little way to help me and ease the pain that I have inside. She was a student then and didn't have much but then she did everything she can to help me. That was one of the lowest point in my life and I never thought that she will be there for me. She stand by me. After a year she got more busy and I was able to be back in to my senses again. I tried to move on from what happened and accepted it. I started looking for a job and we didn't met for a year.

There were times when I get home and my niece would tell me that Mimi came and looked for me. We weren't able to meet for a long time. I thought it would be best for her to concetrate in her studies. I wanted her to enjoy her life and stopped worrying about me. I wanted her to find new friends in her new world without me. We stopped exchanging sms coz of our both busy schedule but we both know deep inside in our hearts that were just there for eachother, and were just one sms away. Four years has passed since the day we've known eachother, she graduated already. One fine day I told her the news and sent her an SMS that I'm getting married and I want her to be my bridesmaid, I was hesitant if she will accept it coz she's in the middle of her review for the upcoming Licensure exam. I was delighted to read her SMS saying "Uu gang, kinsa man gud ko para moingon ug dili. Amiga gud ta ".(Translation: Yes dear, who am I to say no?).

I am very happy that she was there in my most special day. After the wedding we started meeting often to catch up and rekindle the friendship we have.

Were are so lucky that God bless us with friends. Life is more beautiful and meaningful knowing there will be someone who will stay with us through thick and thin. Whenever I hear Dionne Warwick's song it reminds me of my best friend Mimi and our beautiful friendship ... through good times and bad times I'll be on your side forever more, that what friends are for...
My bestfriend is Mimi, who's yours?

Skin Care Regimen

Even when I was still in Philippines my dry skin has been always my problem. It got worse when I got here in Denmark. After shower I always notice my skin gets tighter and then after a while it would look like it is dehydrated. And there are times that it gets itchy and painful. The driest part is my lower leg, sides of my stomach and my face. I tried different lotions for my body and it took a while before I found the right one for me. Tested some creams for my face, hoping it would lessen the dryness but those didn't help me at all. For some weeks, I had to put petroleum jelly to the side of my nose and lips so that the dry skin won't get visible but it leaves my skin looks shiny and it feels sticky.

I told my sister in law about my problem and its from her I learned to Wash, Tone and Moisturize.
I do this twice a day, in the morning and before I go to bed.

Wash - I use facial soap or a facial cleanser for this. I would suggest not to use your body soap when washing your face. Body soaps contains stronger ingredients and it makes your skin more dry.

Tone - It removes dead skin cells, surface oil and dirt that the facial soap or cleanser miss.

Moisturizer - This helps to keep your skin away from getting dry. It makes your skin moist and hydrated.

Now, my skin feels and looks better. I've been using Clinique products. What's good about them is that they have good selection for different skin types and combination. I use number 1, for very dry to dry skin.

Platform Beds

One of the things that a person need to have a good health is to have a good sleep 8-10 hours a day. We spend quite long hours in bed everyday and the comfortability of the bed really matters. If we don't sleep well at night, it will reflect during the day. Often we would get moody and sometimes we won't perform well in our task. We need a nice and comfortable bed to rest and sleep.

I found out about eroomservice while browsing on the net and they offer modern and contemporary beds . They have a big selection of beautiful beds and bed sets. If you're looking for nice and elegant beds, then this is the place you should go to. I myself was impressed how nice the bed they have. They offer Italian modern beds and European contemporary bed frames from world renowned modern furniture designers.
So why not invest in a bed that will last and give you a good nights sleep?

I Finally Have A PR

Last night I was in the computer for 4 hours straight and I didn't notice it. I was so busy updating my blog and adding a scroll bar to my friendslist. After the update has been done, I thought of why not try to check my PR before going to the kitchen and wash the dishes. So I checked it, I was expecting of an n/a answer coz thats what I've been getting all the time. And no one would expect a PR with my inconsistency, I blog today and tomorrow and for the rest of the week I'm not blogging and then after a week or two I'll update my blog again. I was very inconsistent so I was not expecting anything but then I was surprise to see the screen showed me. I saw 3/10 PR and I was not sure if how exactly I felt. I closed the tab and open a new one. I thought maybe I pasted the wrong URL, but then after pasting my URL for the second time I got the same answer and I chose not to believe still and close the tab again. I was telling my self this can't be happening, this must be a mistake. After a while, I tried to check my PR again and I made sure and double check that it is my URL that I'm pasting and not someone else's. It's on my third attempt, it finally sink in my mind that I really have a PR now. For a while I was just staring on the screen looking at the 3/10 in white, green and gray colors that is written in my screen. It was such a joy to look at the screen that time. I can't help to smile for the entire night. I was even singing while washing the dishes.

Biggest Boot I've Seen

One fine Sunday while we were in Finland my Father in law asked us if we wanted to go to an Agricultural fair. I hesitated when hubby asked me coz for sure I can't relate to it but since my Papa Pertti really insists and everyone is going so I just nod. There, I've seen different farm animals, tractors and other farm materials. While hubby and I strolling around hubby point the big boot in one of the booths there. I was surprise to see its size but I was more surprise to see the brand. The brand is called Nokian and I was wondering if its related to the Nokia company that manufactures cellphones. Hubby said that before Nokia made cellphones they made rubber boots and tyres first. The Nokian boots and the Nokia phones were one company before that split into two. The history of Nokia really surprised me, from rubber boots to cellularphones. Who would have thought?

Nobody, Nobody But You!!!

For quite sometime now, I've been watching Wondergirls's video in youtube. In my estimate I would watch their video atleast 5 times a day for 2 weeks now. I really like their song Nobody and I find the Wondergirls very beautiful. I would listen to it right away the moment I'm with the computer and watch their video over and over again.

Back In Denmark!

Hi Guys! I'm sorry if I was out and wasn't able to visit you in your pages for sometime I got quite busy. We're back in Denmark (yipee!)! Were here for more than a week already. I got things to do here coz were away like for almost 3 months and hubby gave me some typing job to do too, thats why I wasn't able to visit here for sometime.
So nice to be back here in Denmark, its a lot warmer here compared to Finland though I'm missing the latter much.

A Glimpse To My Husband's Childhood

In our almost 3 months of stay here in Finland I've seen a lot of my husband's childhood things. Today, we went to Mummi's place (hubby's grandmother), I've seen hubby stuff there. His photos when he was as young as a few month's old up to the present. Photos of his ex-wife too, as well as their wedding photo when they got married in Vegas (lol). I've seen his car when he was 18. The model looks a bit old but it still looks good and as shiny just like a new one. His mom showed me his clothes also, and some of them are still in good condition that our future baby might still use. I've seen his toys, drawings and even his chair and his collection of Donald Duck comic books when he was young. We found Teddy also there whom hubby haven't seen for a long time. Teddy is a teddy bear whom he took with him when he goes to sleep at night when he was young. Teddy looks a bit dirty and hubby decided to take teddy with us back to my inlaws place to give teddy a bath. Hubby likes to play board games a lot which he inherited from his grandpa in the mothers side. Everynight hubby, me and Mama Leena would play monopoly, card and other board games. And those card and board games are owned by my hubby when he was young. He really takes good care of his things even when he was a kid that's why the things he owns 20 years ago, some are still useable now. It's very nice to see hubby's childhood memories, it feels like I've seen him grow before my very eyes.

Who's Your Favorite Cartoon Character?

When I went back to Philippines I had to always stay up late because I have to wait for my husband to go online. Most of the time we would talk around 1am. While waiting for him I watched tv so I wont fall asleep. There were nights that there is nothing interesting on television and that made my waiting so difficult coz I would end up falling asleep and then, when my husband will be online I will be in the bad mood because I have to get up while my soul is in protest that I should continue to sleep. But there were nights that I'm excited to wait. My Tuesday and Thursday nights were the most amazing coz its Shaun The Sheep nights. I found out about it during those nights that I keep on changing channels every five minutes because there is nothing that interests me. And then I found Shaun on Disney Channel. They air it like 12:30 midnight to 1am, so its just on time before my hubby would go online.

Shaun and Friends

Shaun and friends always makes me intertain. When my niece would have a sleep over in our place they would stay up late too to watched Shaun. Btw, for those who doesn't know Shaun, Shaun The Sheep is a British stop-motion animated children's television series. It was first aired in the UK in March 2007 and now its shown to more than 74 countries. A premise of the series is that Shaun the sheep exhibits human intelligence, creativity, and behaviour in a farm setting, which usually provides a situational comedy conflict which Shaun must resolve. Each episodes is a combination of comedy in which Shaun and friends behave childishly. It is a silent comedy show like Mr. Bean.

Shaun The Sheep may not be as famous like the characters in Disney or Warner Bros. but for me Shaun is the best and the cutest among all the cartoon characters.

Learning:The Art In Make Up

I never got interested in make up that much not until few months ago. I started wearing "make up" when I was 18. I put lipgloss in my lips and I consider that as putting make up already. For so many years I didn't know how to put eyeshadows and blush on. Until when I got here in Finland, I started watching make up tutorials in YouTube. I didn't know that there a lot of things to apply and to do, to get those fantastic looks. After a few days watching those tutorials and seeing how fantastic celebrity looks like with their make up on, I got encouraged to try it. I started buying cosmetics everytime we would go to the shop and try them to myself. I am no master to it so I cannot give you any tips or tutorials yet on how to apply make up. I still get confuse, there are a lot of cosmetics and tools that I dont know if what are the use. You have no idea how i looked like the first time I put an eyeliner (lol). Until now, I'm still learning and keep on practicing so that one of these days I can do it perfectly, and I won't be ashamed to post it here.
Some of the cosmetics that I own

According to history, the first archaeological cosmetics usage is found in Egypt around 3500 BC during the ancient Egypt times. The ancient Greeks and Romans used make up too. The popularity of cosmetics increased rapidly and today, almost everyone wears them. Even men, teenagers and young little girls would love to apply make up too.

Another Award For Me

Today, I grabbed my award who's given to me by my new friend in the blog world Fe of Fe's Journey Of Life. This is the third award that has given to me. Thanks a lot Fe for including me in your list.

I would like to share this award to my S-H-Y of A Journey For Life and Yen of Heavenly Delights.

Meeting the Clan

Two days ago, we left Lapua with my hubby and inlaws, and drove around 450 kilometers going to the south. We went to my Mom Inlaws hometown.
It was almost 10 o'clock in the evening when we arrived in Hamina, our destination. It was so nice to meet my mom in law's older brother Anterro and his wife Lilli. We stayed in their place for 2 nights. The day after we arrived everyone was busy coz Mom inlaws older sister is celebrating her birthday and we are not invited (lol). Just the siblings of my mom inlaw and their husband and wife. We were told to go to the place where they were having the party after the celebration to meet my mom inlaws siblings. It was so nice meeting them, just that most of them doesn't speak English and I don't speak Finnish too. Even if its like that, I can see it in their eyes and smiles that they were equally as happy as I am. Everyone there hugged me so tight that I felt so good inside. After meeting everyone there, we headed back to Anterro's place to prepare to visit the homes of the siblings who lived nearby. Hubby, Mama Leena, Anterro and me decided to walk all the way to their home to tour a bit the place while walking, while Papa Pertti and Lilli decided to ride the car. On the way home, Mama Leena, pointed out the place where she lived for some years because their house is far away from the school. I've seen churches, military school and a lot of old buildings. Mama Leena said that during her time, that place is a military place. When she goes to school a lot of military men would whistle when they see her which she really hate. We both laugh of the thought. Later that day, we visited the place and the house where she grew up. Her late brother owned and his wife is now living there alone. We were invited inside and had a little bit of snack. After that, Mama Leena toured me in the house. The house is quite big, well, she has a total of 9 brothers and sisters that time, so no wonder. It feel so good to see Mama Leena's hometown and her siblings. From the very start the entire family has been so nice to me and I'm very grateful for that.

Sorry guys, I forgot to take a picture in the entire trip. I only have this pic, this was taken during our walk on the way to Anterro's home after the birthday party.

Red Currants

I've never heard of Red Currant all my life until I've visited Finland last year. My mother inlaw has a big garden in their house and she has a lot of different berries, cherries, some grapes, apple trees and red/white currant. I was amazed the first time I've seen her garden. We've been staying in my inlaws house for almost 2 months now and we are so lucky coz its summer and the plants in the garden started to bear fruit/berries when we arrived. I've picked forrest strawberries and cherries already atleast for times in her garden. Among all the plants in the garden there is something that really caught my attention, its the Red Currants. I've missed Philippine green mango so much and it makes me sad when I think of it but when I discovered about the red currants, it filled that missing spot in me that craved for green mango. Its not as sour as Philippine green mango and it doesn't look like green mango though but its an ok substitute. All I do when I eat it, is just I imagine that im eating the green mango(lol). Every other day I would pick red currant in the garden and I would eat it joyfully everytime. It makes me feel like I'm not that far from home(Philippines).

The red currant is a member of a genus Ribes in the gooseberry family Grossulariaceae. The fruits of red currant are a good source of B1 and C, and are rich in iron, phophorus, potassium, fibre, copper and manganese.

24 Marathon

For more than 8 weeks I've been watching 24. I am a big fan of this tv series and I became a fan of Kiefer Sutherland after watching the first season. Even back in Philippines I followed the show every week and I had watch Season 1 to 5 there. When I went to Denmark I tried to convince my man to why not collect the DVD of this series but he always hesitate when I ask him. He has some movie collections but doesn't have any tv series collection aside from The Simpsons. He doesn't know anything about 24 and he never watched even 1 single episode before so I understand his hesitation. When we went here in Finland we saw some good offer of this series in a shop named Hongkong. He asked me if he should get the first season to try, and of course, I said yes. In the evening, we watched it together. I was as thrilled as I watch it the first time. I have forgotten most of what happened coz I've watched it like 4 or 5 years ago. We watched atleast 4 episodes of the first season that night. Hubby liked it a lot that the next day, he demanded that we should return to the shop where we bought the dvd. And so we really did and I was surprised when he picked up the complete season 2 to 6 and also bought the movie 24 Redemption. And since then, we have been watching 24 every night. We are on our 6th season now and we can't wait to have the 7th season. This series is really good that it lasted for like 8 years now. I would recommend it to everyone who likes action, drama and thriller movies.

Hubby's Collection

For those who doesn't know anything about 24, it is an American serial action/drama television series. Broadcast by Fox in the United States and has been shown worldwide. The show was first aired on November 6, 2001. It is the longest-running undercover/spying series in television history, behind the original Mission: Impossible series by number of episodes and The Avengers by longevity of broadcast.

Weekend (The Ring)

Hubby and me decided to follow my inlaws in their summer cottage today. On the way in the summer cottage a lot of thoughts filled my mind. I was very excited to think of the things that we will do when we arrive. I was confuse if i should pick berries first, or go fishing, maybe boating or maybe we'll start swimming right away. When we arrived the sun started to hide in the clouds, to my husband's disappointment. I started to think that maybe i'll just start updating my blog but after a few minutes the sun was shining again. Hubby asked me if I could accompany him to the lake and swim with him. I hesitated for a second but the thought of the fun we'll going to have in the water made me said yes. I was trying all the of flotation device (salbabida) we have there but nothing worked for me. I thought that the rubber boat would be the best of all to ride so I decided to get it and went to the sauna house to pick it up. As I was trying to carry the heavy rubber boat I noticed that my wedding ring is not in my finger anymore. I was so worried and tried to find it in the sauna house area. Few minutes later hubby and my inlaws found out what happened and they joined me finding my ring. After an hour the kids neighbor arrived and helped us find my ring too. One of the kids went back to their house to get their metal detector thing. We tried to find it for another hour and then the Uncle of the kids arrive and tried to help us too. I was so sad of what happened and my mom inlaw tried to comfort me. And then the Uncle of the kids phoned somebody and later on I found out that he phoned someone who can help us. My mom in law explained that, that man owned a bigger metal detector machine, as I could not understand what they are talking about for they speak Finnish. We decided to continue to find my ring when the man with the bigger metal detector arrives. We all decided not to spoil the fun we had earlier so we tried swimming again with the neighbor's kids. In the evening the man with the detector thing arrived and started looking. I was so embarrased of what happened. A lot of people has been disturbed from what they are doing just to help us find my ring. I thought I lost it in the sauna house area so thats where we tried to look for it. My father in law was even starting to think to remove the floor in the sauna house porch (where I thought I lost the ring) to find my ring there. Hubby and the man with the detector tried to find the ring the area where I walked before I went to the sauna to get the rubber boat. Me, Mama Leena, Papa Pertti and the kids uncle continued to look for in the sauna house porch. I started to lose hope but then hubby came and hold my hand and put the ring back in my finger. I coundn't describe how I felt. I was so happy, I didn't know how to thank both man (The Uncle of the Neighbors kids and the man with the metal detector thing) who helped us. They were strangers to me and so me to them, and yet they did not hesitate to help me and did not even asked for anything in return. The pleasure that I felt of meeting such people was unexplainable. I am overjoyed of the thought that I have met very nice people in this country.

Addicted To Facebook

One of the reason why I lost interest in updating my blog for a few months its because of Facebook. I got interested in Facebook Farmtown and before I knew it I just found myself planting and harvesting and working to someone else's farm in Facebook everyday. I played for a few weeks until I was able to buy the biggest lot there and I even invited a friend to play it too. That friend got addicted in that game also but after 2 months we both lost our interest in that game. And then I found out about Facebook's Mafia Wars and until now I still play the game. I'm in level 120 already and I have completed a lot of jobs there but still I continue to play everyday. Im playing Mousehunt too and even bowling there. I still check my Friendster account but I dont update it that much anymore. I even stop uploading pictures in Friendster. Now, I like Facebook a lot than Friendster though most of my friends and the people I know are in Friendster and they don't have a Facebook account. But it really doesn't matter though if in which Social Network our friends have or belong coz we can always make an account to both networks.

Update!

Its been quite a while since i made my last post here. I've been quite busy for the last two months. Just for the quick update hubby and me is now in Finland for 2 months and soon we will return to Denmark (Yipee!). When hubby and me went here last June I've finally met friends whom I was planning to meet since last year. It was a perfect timing that 2 days after we arrived here, the Filipino Community here in Finland was hosting a big party. I've met a lot of Filipinas, and I never thought that they are quite a lot here. I've met Menchel and Nene whom are my friends from Friendster. I've met Joy once again and for the first time Glenda, I knew them since 2007 and they were my regular chatmates during those years. We were all still in Philippines that time, but I never had the chance to meet the two of them in person before, for they both live in Cebu City and I in Davao. The party was fun though hubby was bored because he didn't had anyone to talk to. The food was good and they had Lechon that made every Filipino in the party happy.Me, Glenda and Joy during the Filipino Fiesta in Helsinki, Finland
